Drama Dock, Vashon Island’s resident theater company, will perform a staged reading of activist and playwright Larry Kramer’s landmark play, The Normal Heart. The reading is directed by Charlotte Tiencken.
The Normal Heart was the first AIDS based play premiering in 1985 at The Public Theatre in New York City. The play chronicles major events in the early years of the epidemic exposing the devastation of this new disease.
