AIDS Activist Vito Russo delivered a speech in 1988 entitled “Why We Fight” at ACT UP demonstrations in Albany, NY and Washington D.C. His masterful speech was a call to action and is widely considered to be the most significant milestone in the early years of the AIDS epidemic in this country.
